In-Office Painless Laser Vaginal Tightening
by: Marja Sprock M.D., F.A.C.O.G. FPMRS board certified

Laser Vaginal Tightening is a non-invasive office based therapy to diminish the vaginal diameter and increase sexual gratification. The successful Intimalase® V-tightening is available all over the world but is new to the USA. It is now available at Central Florida UroGynecology in Rockledge, Florida.

Several concerns that are associated with childbirth and aging are experiencing a loose, laxity, or wide vagina and loss of sensation are all common complaints. During the vaginal relaxation, becoming too loose, muscles become too relaxed with poor tone, strength, control and support and no longer at its optimum physiologic sexual functioning state.

Surgical procedures are available to tighten the vagina, however this means downtime, a surgical procedure with associated risks, anesthesia and more out of pocket costs than an office based procedure. It has been a great step forward for women finally getting problem recognition and having a non-invasive, non-painful office based laser available to tighten the vagina and increase sexual gratification.

It has been a great step forward for women finally getting problem recognition and having a non-invasive office based laser, Intimalase®, available to tighten the vagina and increase sexual gratification.

The Fotona Er: Yag laser has been FDA approved for gynecologic procedures; the Intimalase® is in the process of being approved, but has been available for women all over the world. For women frustrated about sex having been better before delivering the baby, there is a non-invasive, office based, non-painful procedure available. Except for not being able to have intercourse for 2-3 days after the procedure, there is no down time.

Laser has been a great adjunct in cosmetics and now enables us to tighten the vagina in the office, without incisions or removal of tissue. No pain, no downtime, it can be done during your lunch break.

Laser V-Tightening is based on photothermal tightening and shrinking of endopelvic fascia and pelvic floor tissue. Thermal energy is deposited in the mucosal tissue, causing collagen remodeling and consequently shrinkage of endopelvic fascia and pelvic floor tissue. The procedure is save, painless and supported by research studies. Renew and tighten your vagina to improve your vaginal sensation.

The Er: Yag laser is a non-ablative (no discharge, redness or dead tissue) and non-aggressive laser treatment increasing components as elastin and collagen fibers as well as vascularization. The less aggressive, non-ablative Erbium Yag laser improves the structural architecture of the vagina, forms new collagen and improves treated tissue tightness and elasticity.

An effective and safe top of the line laser is needed treating deep enough to ensure a beneficial effect, but otherwise safe to the surrounding tissue. The heat generated by the non-ablative smooth Erbium Yag laser, dissipates to the deeper tissue areas at 100 microns, which is required for the treatment of the vaginal tissue. The Erbium smooth laser has special pixel screens to provide you with the best result

The average vaginal diameter shrinkage is 12 mm (0.5 inch) per Erbium Yag laser treatment.

The goal is a tighter vagina, without pain, without down-time without ablating and burning tissue. The in-office Fotona Erbium Yag laser induces collagen shrinkage, remodeling and new collagen synthesis.

A study after two Intimalase® procedures, done 15-30 days apart on 21 patients found all patients reporting an improvement and the partners an improved sensation of tightness. 95% reported better sex after the treatment, mostly by better sensation. Also described were better (57%) and more (14%) orgasms.

Another study showed 28/29 patients (97%) improved. Continuous improvement can be seen over 120 days. The shrinkage of the vaginal canal, measured on 27 women, after one session ranged from 3-28%, resulting in an average shrinkage of 17% or 12 mm (about 0.5 inch) The recommended treatment is 3 sessions a month apart.

Finally something good for us women after all the Viagra® and Cialis® for men. Laser vaginal tightening is a step forward, there is not even a discharge after treatment with the Erbium Yag laser, just an increase in lubrication; a good and heathy tissue sign. Make sure you get the safest and most effective Laser Vaginal Tightening

Laser office V-Tightening at Central Florida UroGynecology brings you high quality safe Erbium Yag laser with proven effectiveness. Three treatments are recommended, however results build on each treatment and you may be happy with fewer. We have laser 4D treatments for the face, we can call this the 3D laser vagina treatment or Intimalase®.
